On Wednesday, September 15 Home Hospice North Lanark participated in the Mississippi Mills at a Glance event at the Almonte Community Arena on Wednesday evening.
The event was held on the ice surface with tables and vendors well spaced. We had a full event with all kinds of different vendors showcasing their services and supports including the Almonte Curling Club, Almonte Civitan Club, Textile Museum, the Almonte Youth Club, Almonte Lions Club and the Naismith Basketball Association just to name a few.
The Almonte Legion Pipe band were in attendance and serenaded us with a few tunes.
Hospice table was busy with people picking up our brochures as well as pledge forms for Hike for Hospice which is coming up throughout the month of October.
The kids especially loved our table as there was a jar of chocolate bars to keep the sugar levels high!
Jan Watson, Chair, Nancy Deschenes, Past Chair, Kelly Smith, Board Secretary, Liz Higginson, Visiting Volunteer and Jane Henderson, Past Chair/Board member manned the HHNL table.
