FUNDRAISING
ACTIVITIES
Home Hospice North Lanark (HHNL) is 100% funded by donations and fundraising activities.
Your help makes a very real difference to your family, friends and neighbours who need support at one of the most vulnerable times of their life.
This popular undertaking launches in November each year, with delivery in the spring. Purchase a tree or shrub, and support HHNL — good for the environment, good for the beautification of your property and community—win, win!
Spring Fundraising Auction
At Home Hospice North Lanark, we know first-hand how important good memories are. When life gets tough, or when we’re bereaved, it is memories that can sustain us. It is our intention to assist our clients to live their best life each and every day. It is important to keep making memories! So, when we started planning our online fundraising auction this year, we decided to create something a little different. We are offering the opportunity to make beautiful memories.
We are grateful for the generous businesses and individuals who have donated and/or sponsored amazing packages for this year’s auction.
If you have any questions or would like to donate to the Auction, please contact Wendy O’Keefe Rampton, Auction Lead, at publicrelations@hhnl.ca or 613-724-1796.
Bidding opens on Thursday, April 20 at 10:00 a.m., and will remain open until Sunday, May 14 (Mother’s Day) at 9:00 p.m.
Bid fast and bid often, and get ready to Make Beautiful Memories!
This event takes place in October each year. Get some sponsors, lace up your hiking shoes, and walk to support HHNL. You can bring your family… even your pet! The last two years, our Hike has been a virtual Hike — participants can hike anywhere, any time in October. You simply sign up online, gather your sponsors (who can also donate to your “page” online) and walk as much or as little as you like. Going forward, we will continue this successful model, but add an in-person event that will include a “ceremonial” walk, provided COVID restrictions allow. In 2022 the event was held on the Alameda in Almonte, and it move to another community within our catchment area each year, such as Carleton Place and Pakenham.
Donate a Car Canada accepts Vehicle Donations for Home Hospice North Lanark. Free towing is provided in most areas across Canada, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation. When you donate your car, truck, RV, boat, or motorcycle to Home Hospice North Lanark through Donate A Car Canada, it will either be recycled or sold at auction (depending on its condition, age and location). Donate a Car Canada will look after all the details to make it easy for Home Hospice North Lanark to benefit. After your vehicle donation is complete, you will receive a tax receipt and we will put your gift to good use.
